Hi everyone, my name is Ally Clark. Thank you so much for being here.
A brief background on me — I’m a 25-year-old professional soccer player currently playing in Iceland. Prior to this, I played in Denmark and Cyprus. I studied psychology at Columbia University and earned my Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Colorado Boulder, where I also played my fifth year of college soccer through COVID eligibility.
I have many passions and interests, including soccer (of course), photography, fitness, health and wellness, traveling, personal development and human optimization, trying new restaurants and food, and playing the violin (which is a new hobby).
I’ve wanted to start a blog for quite some time now. Through studying psychology in college and developing a deep love for personal development, human optimization, and holistic health, this passion slowly grew into something that genuinely excited me.
When I reflect back, it really began in the summer of 2021 when I made the decision to seriously elevate my fitness routine in preparation for my junior soccer season. I had been playing soccer since I was five and was always training, but that summer I approached everything with a new level of intentionality. I was fully locked in.
My sophomore season had been canceled entirely due to COVID, so after being deprived of playing, I used all of that pent-up energy and channeled it into training rigorously. I trained six days a week, twice a day, and for the first time, I truly experienced the power of discipline and habits — and the ripple effect they can have on your confidence, self-esteem, and overall quality of life.
Around the same time, I read Atomic Habits by James Clear, a book that had a lasting impact on me. I was reading about the importance of habits while actively living it. I began seeing results in the gym, on the field, and in my everyday life.
From there, I kept building.
As my identity slowly began to shift, I naturally started eliminating negative habits, implementing positive ones, and showing up in the world differently. I developed a deep appreciation for self-discipline and self-trust — being able to rely on yourself to do the things you say you’re going to do.
I began meditating, visualizing, journaling, and practicing positive self-talk. I got extremely clear on my morals and values and worked to embody them daily. It’s one thing to say who you are or who you want to be — it’s another thing to live it.
What I’m getting at is this: as a high-level athlete and a psychology major, I’ve developed a deep passion for positive psychology, personal growth, holistic health, spirituality, and the mind-body-soul connection. I’m deeply fascinated by becoming the best version of yourself each day, having faith and trust in the universe, and understanding the power of your thoughts, beliefs, and energy.
I’ve read so many inspiring books and listened to countless podcasts and brilliant people share their wisdom. All of it has changed my life — and that’s why I’m starting this blog.
I want to share what I’ve learned in the hopes that it can help others. To shift the way people think about certain things. To move toward more positive, empowering thought patterns. Because your thoughts truly do become your reality — and so many people don’t even realize they’re stuck, or that their own mind is working against them.
So much of who we are, and the life we believe we can live, is determined by our awareness and our belief in what’s possible.
My goal is to help people access a deeper awareness of their limitless nature and their potential to become their dream self and live their dream life.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I can’t wait to begin.
